The Boys and Girls Club of Clermont County has been providing
service to the community and our children for 7 years. We have
enjoyed our time in the community and have developed some
wonderful friendships while helping hundreds of children.
The recent defeat of the levy initiative for the West Clermont
School District has led to us being asked to leave the school
facility. During this summer, we have been able to offer services
because of the generosity of the Amelia American Legion Post.
We are most appreciative of their welcoming attitude. The
summer program ends on August 11, 2011.
We will be suspending operations in the West Clermont School
District as of August 12, 2011. This decision was very difficult for
us. However, without a very low cost or no cost facility, we simply
cannot afford to operate our programs. We deeply regret any
inconvenience this cause to the parents and, most especially, the
kids who depend on us for a safe place to go after school to
receive help with homework and participate in the services we
have offered.
We are looking for an alternate location that is convenient to the
schools and can satisfy our needs. We will keep the community
